Life Lessons from Barkley
For Two Leggers
|
 |
- Never pass up the opportunity to go for a car ride.
- Run, romp, and play daily.
- Be loyal and admiring.
- Place napping areas strategically around your domain.
- Let others know when they have invaded your space.
|
- Take naps and stretch before starting your day.
- Eat with gusto and enthusiasm but know when to stop
- Do not pretend to be something you are not.
- If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
- Delight in the simple joy of a long walk through the park.
- Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
- When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
- When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.
- Bond with your pack. Try to assert yourself as the Alpha!
- Thrive on attention and
let two-leggers touch you and rub your belly.
- Avoid biting or barking
when a simple growl will do.
- On hot days, drink lots
of water and lie under a shady tree.
- When someone is having a
bad day, be silent, sit close by and love them.
- No matter how often you are scolded or put down, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout...go right
back and make friends.

My Loving Dog
The one who listens when I talk.
The one who cheers my lonely walk.
The one who nuzzles when I cry.
The one who comforts when I sigh.
Who else could match my every mood?
Who else would feast on scraps of food?
Who else would prompt this monologue?
Who else but you.....
My Dog
